This week's guest is Rev. Steven Manskar, the Director of Wesleyan Leadership with Discipleship ministries in the United Methodist Church. We will discuss Covenant Discipleship, a powerful tool for helping make disciples and keeping men accountable for their personal growth. Although Steven will speak from a Methodist perspective, I believe this model can be adapted for other denominations.

My favorite resource for the week is the article The Epidemic of Bible Illiteracy in Our Churches By Ed Stetzer from ChurchLeaders.com

According to Stetzer, a recent LifeWay Research study found only 45 percent of those who regularly attend church read the Bible more than once a week. Almost 1 in 5 churchgoers say they never read the Bible. The article also provides some ways to combat this negative trend.
